Loss + Joy

I know what accumulated loss and sorrow does to a person.
You have a weight on your chest and gallons of tears you are bravely trying to suppress. You don’t want to burden anyone else with your grief and you are not sure there is anyone left in your life you can talk to about it anyway. Everything reminds you of something else or some other time, and living in the present requires superhuman diligence.
You don’t know who you are anymore. You wonder what happened to the vibrant person who used to inhabit your body. You waver between a belief that there is something better for you on the horizon and the conviction that you are going to die lonely and unfulfilled.
In a world where conscious manifesters blast their success across the internets you feel like a pathetic loser.
You’ve had the therapy, done the spiritual practices, changed your thoughts, visualized, read every self-help book on the market. And yet you are still stuck. In some respects you feel worse because you know what you “should” be doing, but you lack the energy to do it.
My friend, hear this. You landed on this page for a reason.
Here is what I know to be true for you. Your despair is a sign that Spirit is calling you into wholeness. Where you see failure, heartbreak, loss and judgment, I see your soul stirring.
You have a part to play in making the world a better place. When you follow the promptings of your soul toward wholeness and joy, you are healing the world at the same time.
